Camy Rocher
1959 - 1981

Camy Rocher was born in Baraderes in 1959 on the southern peninsula of Haiti, and died tragically while swimming in 1981 at the age of 23. He began painting at a very young age under the guidance of artist Calixte Henri.  Despite his short life, his works, which depict almost exclusively scenes of vodou practices and figures, are highly regarded.
